LEADERSHIP MONTGOMERY NAMES PRESIDENT AND CEO

         

Rockville, MdLeadership Montgomery (LM), today announced that Dana Pauley, CFRE was named as the president and CEO of the organization. Pauley, who was serving as Interim Executive Director, will assume the new role on July 1, 2021. Her appointment comes after a nationwide search that engaged board, staff, members, and stakeholders to interview the top candidates.

“Dana is a positive and energetic leader. Her practical approach to problem solving and passion for bringing leaders together have earned Dana the esteem of the LM’s members, graduates, staff, board, and donors,” said Leadership Montgomery Board Chair Marilyn Lynk. “The board is excited to work with Dana as our new CEO and confident that LM will be well positioned under her guidance to thrive in the years to come.”

Pauley first joined LM- a Rockville-based nonprofit that educates, inspires, convenes, and connects leaders to advance Montgomery County- in 2018, when she joined in the newly created position of vice president, philanthropic investments. The role included leadership of the team that oversees marketing, membership, special and educational events, and the Corporate Volunteer Council. A 2017 graduate of LM’s Emerging Leaders program, she directed and expanded the organization’s development efforts and was a co-creator of the REAL Inclusion program among other accomplishments.

Prior to LM, Pauley served in development and marketing positions for health and education organizations. With 15 years of nonprofit and for-profit management experience, she has lead teams, developed and executed fundraising strategies, supported board members and designed and implemented new programs. She has served on several boards and currently serves as the board chair for the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County.

Pauley will help LM build upon its momentum and continue making progress to help leaders broaden their perspectives, sharpen their skills, and engage the community. She will ensure the continued delivery of exceptional programming and engagement opportunities.
