Launched in November 2022, the Business Leaders Impact Council (BLIC) is a coalition of organizations across sectors and industries that understand their collective responsibility to create local social impact and enhance community well-being in a way that is mutually beneficial for organizations and communities.

The goal of BLIC is to have a positive collective impact in Montgomery County while simultaneously building internal organizational capacity for effective corporate citizenship practices.

  • Why Should I Join BLIC?

    All BLIC members gain opportunities to deepen their leadership, support organizational goals to be effective employers, and develop shared common goals and actions that address critical local needs. BLIC members are committed to community well-being and want to invest in sustainable solutions grounded in leadership development, collaborative action, and collective learning.

  • Who Can Join BLIC?

    We welcome businesses of any size, nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and government agencies. Organizations can be represented by any employee with the ability and interest in creating organizational change.

    Professional Development Trainings and Resources

    • Topics include developing a corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, creating employee volunteerism and giving programs, supporting effective employee resource groups (ERGs), implementing community engagement through an equity lens, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and much more!
