Navigating Change with a Race Equity Lens Training

Thursday | December 2, 2021

9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Virtual)

Navigating Change with a Racial Equity Lens is a 6-hour workshop for leaders, at all levels of an organization, who are guiding the organization through a journey of change. The workshop is shaped around three major learning objectives: conducting problem analysis to identify areas of change; practicing embodying a racial equity lens; and building the capacity for managing equitable change.

Participants will explore core concepts of organizational development such as power-sharing, vulnerability, and transformational relationships. They will also gain new tools for structuring change processes that are inclusive, clear, and leave space for emergence and the unknown.

Policy Around ALL In-Person Programming and Events

While Montgomery County continues to lead the nation in COVID vaccination rates, Leadership Montgomery (LM) remains vigilant with the health and safety of our constituents and partners.

  • We will continue to monitor and adhere to all federal, state, and local guidelines around COVID-related policies.
  • When we gather for in-person events/programs, LM will continue to encourage social distancing, supporting elbow bumps over handshakes.
  • Regardless of Montgomery County’s risk area designation for COVID transmissions (as defined by the CDC), at this time LM will continue to require mask usage while indoors for all attendees/participants, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Some event venues will require additional safety measures while on their premises (proof of vaccination, outdoor mask usage, etc). We will follow the policies of each venue/business and will notify all event attendees/participants accordingly.

This policy is subject to change as guidelines are updated. Should you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Who says you can’t go home again? This October event welcomes the new CORE, Senior Leadership Montgomery and Emerging Leaders cohorts to the Leadership Montgomery network. It is also an opportunity to hear an annual update of the organization’s work, accomplishments and goals, as well as a chance to network with previous LM participants and other notable community influencers.
