About this Workshop

Productivity is often viewed as the driving force behind the success or failure of an organization at the expense of employee wellbeing. Over the past few years, organizations have grappled with how people have shifted their priorities on how they spend their time and what it means to be productive. To foster organizational cultures that drive innovation and positive results, people need environments that support their well-being and strategies to promote intentional productivity. Working with purpose and intention does not mean working non-stop. In this workshop, you will learn approaches that encourage focus, effectiveness, and well-being to disrupt dominant cultural notions of productivity that are counterproductive and harmful.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for any leader or employee who seeks a more balanced approach to work to thrive professionally and personally.

During this workshop, we will delve into:

  • Elements of toxic productivity culture that can be counter-productive to your organizational goals
  • Reframing common myths of productivity for yourself and organizational culture
  • Strategies to change mindsets and behaviors around distractions, boundaries, and self-care
  • An action plan for your work that centers on wellness and intentional productivity

About this Workshop

Leading any change initiative is complex. While there is an urgent need to address racial equity in our organizations and communities, there are no quick fixes for pursuing transformational change. Leaders know how to tackle technical challenges that may have clearly defined solutions, but they must also have skills to address adaptive challenges, which require a nuanced strategy. In this workshop, participants will develop an understanding of adaptive leadership and gain the knowledge and skills to lead their team or organization in creating new approaches to advance equity.

Who should attend?

Organizational and community leaders interested in or working towards organizational and systems change using a racial equity lens.

Although not a pre-requisite, this workshop can be advantageous for REAL Inclusion alumni or those participants who have completed the Racial Equity Institute (REI) or other LM racial equity training.

During this workshop, we will delve into:

  • The difference between technical and adaptive challenges within a racial equity context
  • Six leadership behavioral characteristics that encompass adaptive leadership
  • Adaptive leadership tools that you’ll use within your team or organization to identify and address complex equity challenges
