Summer Service Project

Times Vary By Location

We are leaders. We lead. Now more than ever, it is critical for the leaders of the LM network to come together and give back to our community. For this year’s project, we have curated several options for our members, previous graduates and their families to make a difference in a way that is safe and meaningful.  As you are comfortable, please join us to volunteer in one of the following ways:

What better way to connect with your LM friends than through service?! LM Members, Partners, and friends are invited to join us for our LM Serves Days highlighting awesome volunteer opportunities in Montgomery County. Get a group from your class together, sign up solo to meet new people, or test-drive a volunteer opportunity for your corporate group at a service day planned by Leadership Montgomery.

Each summer, we select a different nonprofit partner or volunteer opportunity to engage with, allowing you to connect organizations you might not otherwise get to know.

In the winter and spring, we revisit our long-standing partners to provide a regular source of reliable support to these meaningful organizations and projects. We are proud to partner each spring with Junior Achievement of Greater Washington to sample the rewarding volunteer opportunities they have improving the financial literacy of every student in Montgomery County Public Schools. During the December holiday season, we partner with the Kennedy Cluster Project and the wider Montgomery County Holiday Giving Project to collect toys and funds for gifts, food staples, and grocery gift cards for deserving kids and families – then we invite the families and 50+ volunteers to our Distribution Party to deliver that much needed and appreciated support in the community.
