Mission-forward work has been a mainstay throughout Kaarmin’s career. In her role as Director of Membership and Marketing for Leadership Montgomery, she works to ensure that LM’s vision of a thriving Montgomery County through a network of engaged leaders is at the forefront of all of the organization’s branding and communications. Kaarmin also works closely with LM Members to create and execute events that provide meaning and value to Members and the community alike. Prior to her role with LM, Kaarmin served as both the outreach coordinator and the development director for the Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter. During her 7 years with the organization, she raised critical funds to serve the needs of those facing Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, their families and their communities. Before arriving at the Alzheimer’s Association, Kaarmin was an account executive for The State Journal, a business and industry publication in West Virginia, where she worked with the business community to expand their marketing and advertising needs. She obtained her M.A in Public Communication and B.S in Advertising/Public Relations, both from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. Kaarmin currently serves on the board for JCA Greater Washington.
