Rick Henry, MA. Ed., is a multi-faceted learning professional with more than 20 years of experience developing leaders in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
Previous leadership positions he has held, include:
- Director, National League of Cities University;
- Director, Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, Campaign 2000
- Senior Manager, Executive Education Programs, George Washington Center for Excellence in Public Leadership; and
- Program Manager, Executive Potential Program, Graduate School USA Center for Leadership and Management.
A certified Instructional Systems Designer and skilled facilitator, Rick has designed and delivered courses for a variety of government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
Prior to his career in leadership development, Rick was a professional journalist in Virginia and North Carolina. He currently freelances for two Montgomery County publications, Montgomery Magazine and The Takoma Newsletter.
As a 21-year resident, Rick has a deep love and knowledge of Montgomery County. He, his wife Karen, and daughter Olivia (a 2021 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School) reside in Takoma Park.
In his spare time, Rick enjoys playing and listening to music, and rooting for the Washington Nationals and his alma mater, Virginia Tech.
