The Martha Gudelsky Child Development Center will be a state-of-the-art facility offering accessible full-day early education and care to 127 children from birth through five years old in multicultural, bilingual (English/Spanish) environment.
The center will open in early fall of 2024, after which it will operate year-round, with a minimum of 75% of slots reserved for children from low-income households. The center will also create 40 new jobs, opportunities for local partnerships, and space for community events.
Myrna Peralta, CEO of CentroNía, will lead us on a tour of the building and tell us about the partnership that led to the project’s fruition. Kimberly Rusnak (CORE 2024), Founding Executive Director of the Children’s Opportunity Alliance and Jennifer Arnaiz, Senior Administrator, Early Childhood Services for Montgomery County Government will also join us to discuss the importance of early childhood education and the challenges we face in Montgomery County.
