Four-Part Virtual Series
July 9 | July 16 | July 23 | July 30
4:00- 5:30 PM
As a result of recent events, it appears that we are on the cusp of radical change. Our society has long struggled to grapple with the effects of systemic racism and a history of racial inequities. Right now, we need a strong and engaged community to address these disparities and embark on the work it will take to eliminate them. Join Leadership Montgomery as we launch a new four-part virtual series to convene the community around the tough conversations that can lead to meaningful action.
Intentional Conversations: Race & Racism will feature conversation scenarios from four distant viewpoints:
1. Dialogues on Race Between Generations | July 9
2. How to Support Black People When They Are Not in the Room | July 16
3. Conversations Between Parents and Children | July 23
4. How Couples of Different Races Discuss the World Today | July 30
During each weekly, 90-minute session, participants will witness a live conversation focused on race and racism followed by an opportunity to practice their own conversation in a safe and moderated environment. Our goal is to prepare our community to have truthful and productive conversations in every situation.
LM Members | $35/webinar or $120 for all 4
